One of the biggest joys of Christmas for a parent is watching little hands open presents, eat cookies and shake Santa’s hand. In this spirit, we decided to host a special Christmas get together. Here is the beautiful decor we did to give our home an Xmas feel.
Young kids are enthusiastic pre-readers. They have their favourite books which they read over and over again. The vivid imagery and Mamma’s style of reading, engages them in the book. My role as a mother would be to keep this enthusiasm alive through the years.
Saturdays are for digging up your craft box for unused supplies. We found an old paper plate and a packet of pom poms and came up with this incredibley fun crafty clown.
For my son’s second birthday we hosted a playdate style birthday. He loves the minions and I found some quick and inexpensive ways to do up our space for the minion themed party.

After a recent visit to a donut shop, my pre-schooler wanted to play Donut Shop and serve a selection of donuts and hot coffee. We got creative and came up with this!
My little three year old enthusiast has been asking for a toy garage for pretend play. I made this using empty cardboard boxes (cereal and medicine containers) and empty toilet rolls. This one was a big hit and ensured a long time of independent play.
